  • Duration 4h
  • Activity level low

What you'll do

Upon arrival of your cruise at the port, the guide will be waiting for you at the port, identified with the Shore2Shore sign.

We begin our visit to the island of Mykonos passing through the typical landscape of the Cyclades islands.

We will admire the impressive landscape that characterizes Mykonos, known as the island of winds and stones, the numerous small white chapels offered by the islanders, as well as the traditional dovecotes scattered throughout almost all the villages in the rural Mykonian area that characterize everyday life in Mykonos.

Passing through the Ornos region, considered the most touristy area of Mykonos, we will reach the coast of San Juan Cape (on the western part of the island) where we will take a panoramic tour from where, weather permitting, we will be able to see the Island of Delos. The island, located just off the coast, is the sacred island of the god Apollo and houses his sanctuary, considered one of the most important archaeological sites in all of Greece.

Crossing the central part of the island, we will arrive at the northeast of Mykonos where the Kalafatis beach is located, one of the eighty dream beaches surrounding the island of Mykonos. At the café by the sea and facing the Breasts of the goddess Aphrodite, that is, the hills of earth dominating the landscape, we will make the second stop to take photos of the beach, the waves, and the surfers.

Before reaching Chora, we will visit the village of Ano Mera, where the monastery of Panagia Tourliani is located in the central square. The Tourliani monastery, a National Cultural Monument of the Greek state and the center of legends related to the history of Mykonos, is also a typical example of ecclesiastical architecture of the Greek islands. The monastery houses the miraculous icon of the Virgin Tourliani, the work of Evangelist Luke; the Virgin of Tourliani is considered the patron protector of Mykonos. Within the sacred grounds of the monastery, there is a small ecclesiastical museum displaying valuable works, Byzantine icons, embroideries, ornaments, as well as the bells from the first monastery.

Our tour in Mykonos will end with a visit to the Chora of Mykonos, in Greek words: the capital of the island, one of the most beautiful and picturesque towns of all the Greek islands. In this beautiful town, we will have the opportunity to visit the most attractive neighborhoods and corners, such as Little Venice of Mykonos, built practically over the sea and full of cafés and souvenir shops, the Windmills, a modern symbol of Mykonos. The coastal part of the town along the shore is called Gialos, here is the church Panagia Paraportiani, the most photographed Orthodox church in all of Greece, and we will be able to take a panoramic walk through the town, through the numerous alleys of its center, all paved and decorated with flowers and very colorful.

At the end of the excursion, we will enjoy free time to explore this unique experience and stroll through its shopping area. The return to the port will be on your own, you can return by the port boats if your cruise has enabled them or by paying the return fare by boat. Approximately €2.00 per person per trip to be paid on site by the customer.
