Cagliari City Tour

Shore excursion from port of Cagliari, Italy

  • Duration 4h
  • Activity level low

What you'll do

Upon the arrival of your cruise, our guide will be waiting for you at the port with a Shore2Shore sign to begin this fascinating excursion through the capital of Sardinia.

We will start with a panoramic bus tour that will take us to the iconic Santuario de Bonaria, built in the 14th century by the Aragonese, where we will take an interior visit to learn about its rich history.

Our next destination will be Monte Urpino, one of the best viewpoints in the city, where you can enjoy a spectacular view of Cagliari, the coast, and the famous rocky hill known as the Devil’s Saddle. Nature is present with the impressive sight of the pink flamingos that inhabit the area.

The tour continues to the medieval neighborhood of Castello, the historic heart of the city, surrounded by imposing walls. Here we will admire the San Pancrazio Tower, the Elephant Tower, the Saint Remy Bastion, the Lions’ Gate, and the majestic 17th-century Cathedral of Santa Maria, where we will take an interior visit. We will stroll through the charming narrow streets and enjoy the terraces with magnificent views over the Sardinian coast.

At the end of the guided visit, you will have free time to explore the city on your own before returning to the port for the farewell.

We hope this experience in Cagliari will be unforgettable!

* Afternoon tours confirmed (depending on the ship’s stay) will not be able to visit the Santuario de Bonaria inside.
