What you'll do
During your cruise stopover in Sardinia, don’t miss the opportunity to explore the captivating medieval city of Alghero, one of the island’s most beautiful gems.
Our excursion begins in Porto Torres, where the Shore2Shore guide will accompany you on an unforgettable tour to this historic city. Before arriving, we will make a scenic stop at the spectacular Maria Pia beach, famous for its 5 kilometers of coastline with white, fine sand dunes. A perfect place to capture memorable photographs, although swimming is not allowed.
We will continue to a traditional coral workshop, where you can appreciate the local craftsmanship and the historical importance of this material to the region.
Once in Alghero’s old town, we will enjoy its impressive medieval monuments: the elegant Albis Palace, the majestic Church of San Francesco with its beautiful cloister, and the imposing Cathedral of Santa Maria. Our walk culminates with a tour of the historic city walls, which protected the city from foreign invasions and from which you can admire spectacular views of the Capo Caccia promontory.
This cruise excursion, lasting approximately three and a half hours, concludes with the return to the port and a warm farewell.
Let yourself be seduced by the history, beauty, and Mediterranean charm of Alghero!
