Portofino and panoramic view of Genoa

Portofino is a fusion of colors, tranquility, and sea… lose yourself in the charming alleys of this little fishing village on the Italian Riviera with this shore excursion for cruise passengers.

Take advantage of your cruise stop in Genoa, the port from where the bus departs with our Shore2Shore guide, to head towards Santa Margherita Ligure, a small, well-known, and elegant town on the Ligurian coast.

After visiting its magnificent church dedicated to Saint Margaret of Antioch, a Baroque-style work, we will head to the town center, characterized by small typical shops where we will enjoy some free time.

A 15-minute ferry ride to Portofino offers us a unique view of the Portofino promontory, declared a Natural Park since 1935.

Portofino is a town steeped in maritime traditions, and here we find numerous places of cultural interest. Upon arrival in Portofino, our local guide will accompany us to the Church of San Giorgio, dedicated to the town’s protector “Saint George” and built in the 12th century. Its interior houses relics brought back by sailors returning from the Crusades.

From here, we can admire Castello Brown, a fortress set in the middle of a fantastic hanging garden, and the entire gulf that surrounds the beautiful and colorful houses of Portofino.

We will enjoy free time to explore the alleys of Portofino at our own pace and visit the exclusive brand shops located around the bay.

On the return to Santa Margherita, we will take our coach again to return to Genoa, where we will take a panoramic bus tour before heading back to the port of Genoa.

• This excursion is NOT SUITABLE for people with reduced mobility or those who require the use of a wheelchair due to uneven terrain. Transportation for this tour is not adapted.
