Our guide, easily identifiable by the Shore2Shore sign, will welcome you at the port of Aqaba. From there, we will embark on a captivating journey of approximately two hours through the majestic Jordanian desert, enjoying landscapes of extraordinary beauty en route to our destination: the mythical city of Petra.

Located north of Aqaba, this legendary pink city is a marvel carved into the rock by the ancient Nabataean Arabs around 312 BC. Recognized as a World Heritage Site since 1985, Petra is one of the greatest cultural treasures in the world.

Our visit begins at the impressive Siq, a narrow and winding gorge flanked by towering rock walls, which will lead us to the unforgettable view of the majestic city carved into stone and bathed in the desert sunlight.

You will be amazed to learn how this prosperous metropolis, the ancient capital of the Nabataeans and equipped with an advanced water conduction system, remained hidden for over a thousand years until it was rediscovered in 1812 by a Swiss explorer.

During the guided tour, we will explore its most emblematic treasures, such as the Nabataean theater, the temples, and the royal tombs, before enjoying free time to contemplate the grandeur of this unique place and let its beauty fill your spirit.

GENERAL INFORMATION 

• DURATION: BUS AND GUIDE AVAILABLE FOR UP TO 9 HOURS.
• During the visit, you will need to walk about 6 km over uneven terrain, so it is not suitable for people with mobility issues. Additionally, the terrain is not suitable for wheelchairs or baby strollers. It is recommended to wear comfortable closed shoes, a hat, sun protection, and a jacket.

• General admission to Petra for visitors aged 12 and over €83
• Admission for visitors aged 11 or under, free
• This rate is from SHORE2SHORE and includes our management fees as well as banking fees and exchange rates. No claims will be accepted after the visit to the center.

NOTES

• Level: Medium/Panoramic/Cultural
• It is advised to wear comfortable shoes.
• This excursion is not recommended for people with reduced mobility, those who require the use of a wheelchair, or those traveling with baby strollers due to the uneven terrain.
• Inside the archaeological site, there is a buffet-style restaurant and several food stalls.
