What you'll do
Upon arrival of your cruise, pickup at the Rotterdam port by our guide, identified with the Shore2Shore sign.
From there we will head to the Kinderdijk windmills, the beautiful city of Delft, and then visit the port city of Rotterdam and its oldest neighborhood Delfshaven.
Kinderdijk, located just 25 km from Rotterdam, is world-renowned for its nineteen windmills declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering us wonderful postcard-like views.
We will arrive in Delft, an old Dutch city founded in the 13th century and known as the royal city.
Inside the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) is the pantheon of the Dutch Royal Family, notable for its tower, at 108.75 meters, the second tallest in the Netherlands.
We invite you to stroll through the market square and enjoy its beautiful canals.
Next, upon arrival in Rotterdam, we will have the opportunity to learn about the largest port in Europe, which was also the busiest port in the world between 1962 and 2004.
We will head to Delfshaven, a picturesque port neighborhood of Rotterdam. With its old shipyards and warehouses, it tells of a past that World War II almost completely erased.
Highlights include its Historical Museum, the replica of the 18th-century warship, and the Pilgrim Fathers’ Church, where the pilgrims gathered before departing for America in 1620.
Return to the port and farewell.
