What you'll do

Upon arrival, our guide will be waiting for you at the port with the Shore2Shore sign, ready to take you to discover one of the most beautiful cities in Norway. Known as the capital of the West and the second largest city in the country, Bergen is nestled in an impressive landscape of seven mountains and serene fjords.

We will begin our tour with a scenic bus ride through the most prominent and picturesque neighborhoods of Bergen, such as Sandviken, with its traditional wooden houses; the Nordnes peninsula, famous for its sea views; the lively Danmarksplass; and the charming Paradis neighborhood, true to its name.

In the center of Bergen, we will stop at the historic Hanseatic district of Bryggen. This old wharf, with its iconic brightly colored wooden houses, was home to German merchants from the 14th to the 18th century and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We will continue our route to Gamlehaugen, the summer residence of the Norwegian royal family. This beautiful building and its surroundings witnessed a crucial moment in Norway’s history: the drafting of the Declaration of Independence in 1905.

To complete the experience, we will visit the historic fish market, with more than 400 years of history. Here you can enjoy its vibrant atmosphere and, if you wish, taste fresh fish and local products (tasting not included).

At the end of the tour, we will return to the port to say goodbye with the memory of a city that perfectly combines history, culture, and nature.

Thank you for choosing Shore2Shore to explore the essence of Bergen!
