What you'll do
Upon arriving at your cruise, our guide will welcome you at the port, identified by the Shore2Shore sign, to accompany you on an unforgettable excursion through this unique corner of Norway.
Eidfjord, a charming village located at the beginning of the fjord, was formed approximately 8,000 years ago with black sand and gravel from the last Ice Age. Following the banks of the Eid river, famous for its trout and salmon fishing, we will venture into a landscape of pristine beauty.
Our first stop is the modern Nature Hardangervidda visitor center, a perfect experience for the whole family. Here, we will learn about Norwegian nature and its climate through interactive exhibits and cutting-edge technology. Don’t miss the panoramic film projected on five screens, which takes us on a virtual flight over fjords, mountains, and glaciers. Additionally, the center is the official gateway to the Hardangervidda National Park.
From there, we will enter the impressive Måbødalen Valley, with its spectacular steep mountains. Along the way, we will explore ancient stone paths and historic bridges, witnesses to the ingenuity and effort of the past.
Our next stop takes us to the Fossli Hotel and the spectacular Vøringfossen waterfall. From a nearby viewing platform, you can enjoy majestic views of this waterfall, which plunges from a height of 182 meters into a deep canyon.
After an immersive experience among fjords, mountains, and waterfalls, we will return to the port to say goodbye.
