South Menorca and Monte Toro

Shore excursion from port of Mahon, Spain

  • Duration 4h
  • Activity level low

What you'll do

Our guide will be waiting for you at the port of Mahón, identified with a Shore2Shore sign.

We will leave the port heading towards Taula de Trepuco, undoubtedly the most emblematic ceremonial monument of Menorca. Built during the Talayotic period, it is a sanctuary whose enclosure is horseshoe-shaped, similar to those in Mallorca but, unlike them, it has a large central monument resembling a table, which gives it its name (taula means "table" in Catalan).

The chronology of these sanctuaries is unknown since, although the enclosures may have existed throughout the Talayotic period, their central monuments could date from any time during the first millennium.

Next, we will head to Binibeca, a fishing village dating back to 1972. It is one of the most picturesque places on the island of Menorca, notable for its whitewashed houses and narrow streets forming a labyrinth.

We will continue with a panoramic visit of Cala de Binidalí. The cove is a tiny beach located next to the Binidalí urbanization with white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters.

We will then proceed towards Mount Toro, the highest mountain in Menorca at 358 meters tall. According to legend, its name comes from a bull that guarded the mountain’s summit, preventing anyone from reaching it.

Return to the port and farewell.
