What you'll do
Upon arrival of your cruise, pickup at the port of Dover, Harwich or Southampton by our guide, identified with the Shore2Shore sign.
After approximately an hour and a half from Tilbury or 2 hours from the other ports, we will arrive in London. Accompanied by our guide, we will visit the city, starting with the “Tower of London” built by King William the Conqueror, and the “Tower Bridge”, the two most iconic monuments of the city.
For passengers from Tilbury, the arrival will be a little earlier and we will have the possibility to spend more time in London and admire the Olympic Park (outside) where the Olympic Games were held in 2012. Continuing with our tour, we will visit the oldest part of the city called “The City” where there is a wonderful example of classical architecture, the St. Paul’s Cathedral. We will admire the grand “London Bridge”, the “Royal Courts of Justice” on the famous press street, FLEET STREET.
We will stroll through Covent Garden and then take a break for lunch (on your own and not included) and do some shopping at the old flower, fruit, and vegetable market, originally from Westminster Abbey.
We will arrive at the physical and popular center of London, see the historic square of Trafalgar Square, erected in memory of Admiral Lord Nelson and also of the English, French, and Spanish sailors who died in this battle. We will pass by Downing Street, Whitehall to Parliament Square to reach Westminster, the nerve center of political life, where the Parliament, the world’s most famous clock, the “Big Ben”, and the magnificent Westminster Abbey are located, so famous recently for the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate.
After the visit to Buckingham Palace (outside), we will cross the “Westminster Bridge” to admire the “London Eye” - “the Eye of London,” the most famous panoramic wheel in the world with a height of 135 meters, and the historic hospital of ST. THOMAS, who was murdered in Canterbury Cathedral.
At the end of the excursion, we return to the port for the farewell.
The return transfer is without a guide.
